After I picked myself up off the ground, we talked through some ideas. Jose made it clear he really just wanted us to do what we do.

This was very special to us because he wasn't asking us to be a fishing guide, captain, or expert on the river...he was just asking us to be a family and show him how we like to explore the outdoors and pass on our passion on to our child.

Reel Life Adventures Dominican Republic
Reel Life Adventures is a group of guys who go into an impoverished area and take on various humanitarian projects. In this case we joined them in the Dominican Republic to provide aid, supplies and labor to help the Dominican and Haitian orphans and impoverished people of Puerto Plata. It was nothing short of an incredible trip and we received far more than we gave.

The fishing community has lost a great angler, icon, and friend. We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Jose Wejebe. Through his show and his adventures he shared a passion for fishing that touched and inspired anglers around the world.

We would like to invite all family and friends to a Celebration of Life in honor of Jose Wejebe, Sunday April 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum in Dania Beach, Florida. All those who were touched by Jose are welcome to attend.
